We needed a tropical getaway and chose an island in the Caribbean that we haven’t visited before, Anguilla. Our trusty travel agent, Lisa Baker at Huffman Travel, recommended the Four Seasons, which turned out to be a real winner. They took great care of us and David Jothi-Paul, Manager of guest relations, checked on us daily to insure our every need was met. We did a private tour of the small island one morning, had dinner at five different restaurants off the hotel property and had dinner twice a the SALT on the property. All were very good but SALT was best.
Anguilla is 13% smaller with half the population of our home island. The primary economic activity is tourism and the population is very friendly and hospitable. Other than venturing out for dinner and our island tour we spent our time at the Four Seasons, primarily around the pool. Lots of sun and lots to eat made us very happy. It was a great trip.
Our tour consisted of two and a half hour drive to see the coast line, the main harbor, and The Valley, which is the main village. Anguilla, was severely impacted by hurricane Irma (Category 5), and the damage to homes is still visible. The islands population has essentially rebuilt stronger hurricane resistant structures but many of the sturdier structures remain but are boarded up.

The Four Seasons is a fabulous resort property.

We had a great week in Anguilla at the Four Seasons, we shall return.
